Sneak Peek: Kids Will Star in the Show at the Big Top Tent at Dumbo The Flying Elephant

Walt Disney Imagineering just shared new details with the Disney Parks Blog about the new interactive queue area that will open at the big top tent at Dumbo the Flying Elephant in New Fantasyland this July.
This innovative queue area will completely redefine what it means for guests to prepare for a Disney attraction. Here’s how it will work: Guests arrive at Dumbo’s big top and receive a circus ticket pager that virtually holds their place and notifies them when it’s their turn to board the attraction. Kids (and kids of all ages) can then become part of the show inside the tent by enjoying circus-themed play experiences, while Dumbo flies high above.

Here are some photos of what you can expect!

This new queue sure looks like a great place for kids. We are still unsure about what will actually be interactive there, though. But, what is your opinion? After having seen these two images, what is your first impression? Please, be aware that these photos do NOT show the entire indoor queue. There may be a lot of other surprises in store for us, who knows...

  1. regardless of how interactive the queue are really turns out to be, the idea of the circus ticket pager is a brilliant one (providing it works in practice) and takes away the dull waiting in line

But if the queue play areas turn out to be too good, it may be a struggle to pull children away from them and onto the actual ride!

  2. I was thinking the same thing. I think it looks great but I predict some crying children when we have to leave to go ride Dumbo. :-)
